** We do NOT perform at any all male gatherings such as bucks parties. A dancer will only perform in an environment which can be garunteed as respectful, safe and family friendly.

Do you want the dancer to colour match your occassions theme? What about if you have a more conservative audience? Do you want the dancer to use a particular song? Can it be a surprise? No problem at all! We can tailor the show to suit you and your event, simply discuss your needs at the time of booking.

How long are your shows and what is included in it?

A standard show is usually 20mins in length including a Majense (Entrance), a pop song with audience participation, a folkloric and/or interest piece (usually Saidi/Cane dance), a drum solo and finale. With this is mind however we can tailor the show to whatever you or your audience would like to see. Choose from:

- Sword Balancing
- Veil
- Isis Wings

- Khaleegy (Folkloric dance from Gulf)
- Shamadan (Candelabra balancing)
- Saidi (Folkloric stick dance)

You can also request a longer or shorter show, whether you would like costume changes, soloist or troupe. There are so many options and combinations available just ask!

Are your shows family friendly?

Definately. In Australia bellydance is not to be associated with anything other than family cultural entertainment making us appropriate for any event. If you require something more conservative this can be catered for. Once again, we will only perform at events which are garunteed to be respectful, safe and family friendly and will not perform any all male events such as bucks parties.

This sounds great.... so how much?

Private shows start at $250 for a standard 20min show as described above. This rate will of course change based on location, duration of the show, how many performers or costume changes are required, what night of the week etc. Bellydancers fees are calculated to include the costs of costuming, continuous professional training and travel expenses to name a few. Call Kamelia to discuss your needs and arrange a quote.

A non-refundable deposit of at least $50 is required to secure a booking and the balance can be payable on the night should you so wish. Direct bank deposit and cash is acceptable. Personal cheque are not accepted.

What about tipping?

Tipping is customary to show appreciation but in no way necessary. The way the dancer will accept tips are on the armband or hip and to be given in a respectful way. Of course you can hand the dancer the tip and she can place it on her costume for you. Often tips will fall on the floor during the performance and it is appreciated if you can pick it up for the dancer and hand it back to her.

Can you dance with the guest of honour?

Of course, just kindly advise the dancer who he/she is.

Will the dancer bring her own music? What sort of music will she bring?

Yes, she will bring a timed CD to dance too unless she is required to perform to a live band. All you need to have ready is a good quality stereo that is loud enough for your guests to hear clearly. Music can be catered to your event depending on your nationality and the event. The choices will always be appropriate to your audience and the event. If you would like any particular songs just let Kamelia know.

What information does the dancer need at the time of booking?

The obvious need to know information includes the time, date and venue and type of event. Other important information the dancer needs include:

What are the dancer's obligations?

The dancer will be on time for the performance and ready to go on at the agreed time. Of course she will provide all costumes, props and music on CD unless arranged otherwise. In the event that the dancer cannot attend the performance due to injury or illness she will assist you in finding a suitable replacement should you wish.

As the host, you are obliged to ensure that the performer is treated with respect. If made to feel uncomfortable she reserves the right to discontinue the performance.

Call Kamelia on 0431 175 681 or email her to arrange a quote and discuss your requirements. No matter place, type or size of your function, we can cater to your needs!
